FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

// WEDDINGS

// i would love to book with you! what is the process?

First of all, thank you! It means such a lot to me that you support my small business and I really do thank you for choosing me to film your special day. To secure your date, you will need to complete the enquiry form so that I can check my availability. You can find the form on this website, just click ‘enquire now’. When we have a date agreed then I will send you a booking contract to fill out - nothing scary, no big questions, it’s just the T’s & C’s about my service. When that’s filled in you will need to pay a non-refundable booking fee of £500 and that’s it! When those steps have been completed then your wedding will be in my diary. As easy as that!

// Can we meet up at some point?

Of course! I’d love to meet up with you. In fact, I much prefer to meet with my couples before their big day so that we can get to know each other a little better. We can meet for coffees or cocktails - your choice! (I should warn you though I’m the biggest lightweight the world has ever seen and if we go to a cocktail bar I will be that embarrassing person who orders a cup of tea!)

// SHOULD WE BOOK A PRE SHOOT?

Pre shoots are my favourite thing to do. We have 90 minutes to be creative! I do have one rule, that they have to be EPIC. Please don’t expect us to go for a typical walk in the woods where I get you to walk along and look at each other for the whole time. This isn’t exactly my style and I want you to look at your footage and think more movie than amateur footage. I would say that pre shoots are a great way to get to know my shooting style, feel a lot more comfortable in front of the camera and practise some poses ahead of the big day. I actually have a number of comments that I can share with you from couples who had a pre shoot and how it helped them with their wedding portraits.

// Do you travel further than where you are based?

I do indeed. I will travel all over for weddings. Traveling to new places makes me so excited, because it gives me the chance to try new ideas. Please note though that I may add a little extra to cover travel costs depending on the distance/price of flights etc. but of course I’ll let you know that when you enquire. No surprise costs around here!

// Can I use my own music on my videos?

Urgh, this question breaks my heart every time I’m asked. If it was upto me I’d let you choose any special song for your video. However, there are some stinking laws and regulations that we have to follow which stop that from happening. I have to buy your music from a particular website, I promise they aren’t cheesy jingles or really bad cover versions!! (the kind that make you want to rip your ears out when you’re shopping). They’re beautiful, original songs by extremely talented artists. All I ask is that you trust me to choose the right music for you. Music can literally make or break a video and so I will always try to choose music that enhances your video and works well with the style of the day.

// What happens if you cannot attend our wedding?

As I work alone, a lot of couples want to know if I have a back up plan should the worst happen and I am ill or unable to attend your wedding at last minute. Please appreciate that things could happen that I have no control over. I have back up people to call on should anything happen, people who suit my style and work in the way that I do. I will do all I possibly can to make sure you aren’t left without a videographer on your wedding day.
